Sales keep saving on the computer, even if you close the app or restart it, and upload in order as soon as the connection is back. Reconnect at least once every 14 days so each sale lands on the right day in your books.

Cash always works. If your card machine works on its own, take the card there and record it as a manual card payment. Built-in Square and Stripe readers, gift cards and pay later need internet, and the till tells you when they are unavailable.

No. The app is free. It runs the same Octabiz POS you use in the browser, so you sign in with your Octabiz account and there is nothing else to buy.

Sales saved while offline stay inside the app on that computer and are removed from it once they reach Octabiz. Each sale is sent once, even if the connection drops halfway, so nothing is counted twice.

On Windows the app downloads updates in the background and installs them when you close it, never in the middle of a sale. On a Mac the till shows a notice when a new version is out, and you download it from this page.
