Every CRM and sales screen that was in testing is now on for every business. The till takes EBT/SNAP, sells gift cards, works with your own card readers and charges each branch its own price, and stock counts now stay in step with their history.
What's new
- Every CRM and sales screen that was in testing is now on for every business.
- The till takes EBT/SNAP, sells gift cards, works with your own Stripe card readers and can lock with a personal PIN.
- Tills, chat sales and QR ordering charge each branch its own price.
- Rug cleaning sends a 7am list of the day's drop-offs and collections.
- Stock counts stay in step with their movement history.
This is a summary of everything that went out on 2 November. Each update also has its own entry on this page.
CRM and sales
- The CRM and sales screens that were only on test sites are now on for every business: pipelines with stage rules, products on deals, company pages and custom fields; teams, record visibility, assignment rules and the task queue; sequences, snippets, booking links and email analytics; the power dialer, call analytics and the Conversation tab; forecasts, goals, deal health, discount approval and the import page. Phone screens still need the phone add-on.
- Microsoft 365 admins can install the Octabiz add-in for Outlook. Next to Share times, it adds an Octabiz button when you read an email. The panel shows who is on the email, their open deals and their next task, and from it you can log the email, add a new person or put someone in a sequence. You sign in with your own account, so you see only the records you can see in the app. Install steps are in Bookings › Apps.
- The company page says when a field came from Apollo and on what date. The customer page has a "Pages visited" card while your business counts page visits.
- Outlook mail, Gmail and the Google Sheets step say "coming soon" until each one is ready. When the Sheets step opens, you choose the sheet with Google's own picker, and Octabiz can reach that sheet only.
- Billing errors now show the real reason, and the Dialer and Billing pages describe the phone add-on the same way.
AI chat
- The chat can work in Content Studio: find, create, edit, start, schedule and publish pieces.
- It can work with Growth Studio lead research: find leads, start or change a project, turn leads into deals or customers, manage campaign plans and reply drafts, and log calls.
- It can draft first emails with the AI SDR for up to 10 customers at a time. You still approve and send them yourself in Sequences › AI drafts.
- Every change the chat makes asks you to confirm first.
Automations and Growth Studio
- Content Studio and Growth Studio events can start an automation, such as a piece being published, a lead changing status or a reply waiting.
- If a lead research project waited too long for you to pick industries, picking them now restarts the research.
Point of sale
- Take EBT Food (SNAP) and EBT Cash on your own EBT terminal and record them at the till. Mark products as SNAP eligible in the product editor. SNAP pays only for eligible items, no sales tax is charged on what it pays, refunds go back by tender, and a SNAP purchase never comes back as cash.
- Owners and admins can add their own Stripe card readers in POS › Devices.
- You can sell and top up gift cards at the till.
- The till can lock when idle, and each person can have their own till PIN. "Switch user" signs the current person out. An owner turns this on.
- Tills, chat sales, waiter and QR-table ordering, sale edits and scales charge each branch's own price. The product page has a Branches tab, changing the initial price asks which branches it applies to, and Inventory › Price changes lists every change.
- You choose how weighed amounts are rounded, for the business or per store, under POS settings › Scales & weighing, which also holds each store's scale settings. The till warns when a scale's labels stop matching its store's setting.
- A product with no colours or sizes goes straight into the cart.
- Special orders link to a customer and can send an arrival notice. Parked sales are kept on the server.
- A till opens only at a store the person is allowed at. A sale never drops into a colleague's or another branch's till; only owners and admins can sell into someone else's till. Till messages say "count and close" instead of "hand over", and the Terminals link is for owners and admins.
- A sale whose payment answer gets lost finishes once, never twice. A card charge kept for a retried sale is marked as used once that sale saves, and it can no longer be refunded by mistake.
- Only owners, admins and POS managers can change POS settings. Anyone else gets a plain message if they try.
Stock and inventory
- Voiding or part-refunding a weighed sale puts back exactly what the sale took.
- Stock on hand and its movement history can no longer drift apart. Moving a stock movement to another product or location moves its stock with it, and voiding a draft adjustment takes its units back off the shelf.
- A product's first sale at a location with no stock yet now shows the real negative count instead of 0.
- Making a product from written-down stock carries the write-down into what you made.
- A bundle's price split uses your business's decimals and fits a phone.
- A consignment refund where the customer keeps a bundle takes back the owner's share correctly.
Rug cleaning, jobs and invoices
- Owners and admins get a morning notice at 7am, shop time, listing the day's customer drop-offs and collections.
- Customer windows, run finish times and "Change time" use the shop's time zone everywhere. Rug runs change time with a day and window picker.
- Dispatch shows later days. You can edit outside drivers in Settings. Held driver texts and pushes about stops a driver lost are cancelled.
- Job items stay in step with invoice edits.
- Payment receipts, payment dates and the void of a done job are fixed. A job-page refund receipt is sent from the server, so closing the tab no longer stops it.
- When an accepted estimate is emailed, it carries the invoice PDF.
- Invoice texts actually send, and you see when one doesn't.
- The office's "Mark done for driver" ends in a finished job or the finish checklist. Rug tags print what has loaded and warn about add-ons that weren't placed.
- Smaller fixes: estimate responses, bookings redirects, saved-times wording, run notes, pickup after save, and shop-floor search.
Security
- A sign-in PIN only ever signs a person into their own account.
- Only the server can change a gift card's value, or which Stripe account a business is paid into.
- Only the server can file a "sale without till" report.
